Week 30

this weeks been good, though its getting more and more uncomfortable to sleep and im waking up sleeping on my back (which is weird for me because thats always been the hardest position for me to sleep in) My sister seems to be endlessly surprised by the fact that i have a belly now i guess i forget it must seem weird to people. We just started our "every two weeks" Midwife visits and with ten weeks to go its really starting to dawn on me how unprepared we may well be, but i have a good feeling it will all come together in good time and theres no reason we cant sort out some stuff after the baby arrives.
at this point of the pregnancy my blood volume is double what is was pre pregnancy (ew gross), Ive gained 7 kgs since my first midwives visit at 6 weeks pregnant. All the babies permanent teeth are formed and waiting under its gums until wee ones old enough to need them, 9 out of 10 babies born at 30 weeks gestation will survive

Week 29

11 weeks to go!
Cravings- Vanilla ice cream, tom yum soup, sun dried tomatoes, CANDY, ice, spicy spicy anything, noodles (lather rinse repeat)
this week has been good, with the ending of my holidays and back at work to carry out my last few shifts spread out for the next four weeks i think I'm handling it all pretty well- my hips and back however disagree! So i wrote my boss's a list of tasks that i'm finding harder to do, i hope they didn't get offended by that but having been pushed to work hard when i was too sick to in a previous job Ive learnt that some times you've just got to say what you mean and write it down to make it all clearer, they seemed pretty understanding and told me to take it easy if i needed to.
Having to think about a baby shower at some point (as almost everyone keeps asking me if I'm going to have one, though i have no idea what it means to have a baby shower) I'm thinking about sorting it out when we move to a slightly bigger place though...

this week my baby should be about 43 cms head to toe and may weigh nearly 1.4 kgs, in the next 11 weeks the baby will double- and may even triple in weight! boopers running out of room already and now instead of kicking seems to jab me with its knees or elbows, or streach its wee back so we can feel its bum poking at the side

Week 27 (belated)

So I've been a bit slack with remembering to take the photos every week, though the belly hasn't changed that drastically since the last photo- only now it seems to fill my whole abdomen- and makes it really hard for me to breath some times, and especially hard to tie my shoes! this photo is actually going up 2 weeks late- so another to follow soon!
The baby should weigh 900 grams, and be about 38 cms head to toe (its no longer measured crown to rump) if it were born at 27 weeks it would have a 85 percent chance of survival as the lungs are just about matured enough for birth (but please stay in there for a while longer little one!)
